Running Club

Participants work on running and stride techniques, training strategies and efficiency. The club may meet at different locations during the session for varied course work. Additional schedule information will be made available at the start of the session.

Track

The YMCA Track Program provides an introduction to track events. This program puts emphasis on track skill development, events and sportsmanship. So if you are looking to improve your running technique, excel in stand alone events or develop coordination and endurance (or gain endurance for another sport), then this program is for you! Participants will spend the first three weeks working on technique, training and strategies for up to two events and will compete against one another in our fourth week of in-house meet. Participants will finish the four remaining weeks with three weeks of practices and a final meet versus another track club. Events include relays, short dashes, or long dashes.

Personal Sports Training

Want to increase your running performance level?  No matter the sport, our track/running personal training program is equipped with knowledgeable, skilled and seasoned trainers to take you to that next level of performance.  Sessions are available for one-on-one, small group or team settings.

Our sessions are led by seasoned runner, Coach Tim Roman.  Coach Tim is our Track/Running Club Coordinator who has participated in 1 50K, 6 marathons (Boston Marathon twice), 16 half marathons and has won 10 5K races.

*(YM) means YMCA Facility Member, which have full use of the Ascension St Vincent YMCA and Dunigan YMCA.
(NM) means Non-Member, which are enrolled in an individual YMCA program without being a YMCA Facility Member.
