We ask that a walk-thru is done every two and a half hours to ensure quality customer service, facility safety and cleanliness. Please make sure you stop by and check-in with all frontline staff to make sure their area is running smoothly.

Splash Pad

I unlocked the Splash Pad doors when it is open.
I locked the Splash Pad door when it is closed.
The door is locked and the sign shows closed, if not active hours.
The Splash Pad area is clean and free of debris.
Members are abiding by Splash Pad rules.
Splash Pad bather load appears to be appropriate for space (not overcrowded).

Community Room

Wellness Center

Staff names are visible in name plaque.
Staff are smiling and are addressing members as they arrive and depart.
All staff/personal trainers are wearing proper attire and a name tag.
Group Exercise Studios are locked when not in use (excluding Cycle Studio).
The following Age Guidelines are being followed. (A) Youth ages 10-11 must have completed a YWO & be accompanied by a guardian at all times on age-appropriate equipment. No free weights. Look for the purple wristband or blue Y lanyard. (B) Youth ages 12-13 must have completed a YWO & using age-appropriate equipment. No free weights. Look for the orange wristband or blue Y lanyard.

Gymnasium

Basketballs/Pickleball nets are up (pick up if needed).
Members are following Code of Conduct (redirect if needed).
Youth Age Guidelines are being followed.

Track

The track is clean and equipment is tidy.
Age guidelines are being followed. Children under 10 must be within arms reach of adults.

Locker Rooms, Changing Rooms, and Restrooms

You walked through the appropriate locker room.
All restrooms were checked that were unoccupied.
Are there any maintenance issues?
Universal Restrooms that are unoccupied are clean.
If the pool is closed, locker rooms are locked.

Youth & Family Gym

Basketballs/Equipment are put away (put up if needed).
Doors are unlocked in open gym.
Members are following the code of conduct (redirect if needed).
Youth age guidelines are being followed.

Healthy Living Center, Group Ex Studio, Program Center, Cycle Studio, & Multi-Purpose Room

The rooms are clean and the equipment is tidy.
Doors are locked if not being used.

Sports Fields

Make sure bathroom doors are locked.
Are pets present on the field?
Are staff engaging with members/participants?
Are the fields being used for Non-Y Programs?

PROGRAM EVALUATION

During your quick check did you observe any of the following programs?

CHILD CARE STAFF AREA ASSESSMENT

Staff proactively greeted you when you entered the facility and inquired as to how they could help.
Staff are identifiable: staff shirt, nametag, appropriate shorts/pants and shoes. No flip flops or sandals without backs.
Staff are focused on participants, actively supervising and are not gathering with other staff.
Staff are not on cell phones unless check on a child's account.
Staff are checking IDs of all persons picking up children.
Staff are making eye contact and speaking to parents during pick up. Every parent should be acknowledged.
