The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana serves more than 9,000 youth annually, aged from two months through 18 years in a wide variety of programs including child care, camping, sports, aquatics, enrichment and more. The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana’s programs follow the principles of youth development, which includes the belief that children need to be physically and emotionally safe.
Before and After School Care
With so many demands on today’s families, parents need all the help they can get. The Y is the Tri-State’s largest nonprofit child care provider and we help thousands of children every day reach their fullest potential in a welcoming, supportive environment. By incorporating the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility into all of our youth services programming, we give children the solid foundation they need to thrive—not only in school, but beyond. Our School Age Child Care Programs ensure that your child’s time is spent creatively and constructively.
School Day Off Program
The YMCA now offers an option for working parents caught in a dilemma on days when school is canceled due to scheduled school breaks, snow and ice. We offer supervised games, swim time, open gym, and activities in our youth center for school age children (K-6). Each child should bring a sack lunch, swim suit, and towel daily.
Please note that this program follows the EVSC and Warrick County School Corporation calendars and does not include Winter Break or Spring Break Camp. For specific dates, you can learn more below!

All staff have been chosen for their experience, special talents, sensitivity, and creativity. Criminal history background checks have been conducted and filed on all employees. All staff receive training in camp programs, age appropriate activities, discipline, and emergency procedures. Our staff is also certified in CPR and First Aid.
