The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana serves more than 9,000 youth annually, aged from two months through 18 years in a wide variety of programs including child care, camping, sports, aquatics, enrichment and more. Before and After School Care
The YMCA understands the importance of providing a safe and enriching environment for children before and after school hours. Our School Age Child Care Programs ensure the your child’s time is spent creatively and constructively by offering a fun, educational, and nurturing space for their children to enjoy homework help, STEAM activities, physical activity, social and emotional development, character development and so much more!

School Day Off Program
We understand that school breaks and inclement weather can pose a challenge for working parents. Our YMCA School Day Off Program provides care, from 7:00am – 5:30pm, in a safe, engaging, and fun-filled environment for children when school is out. We facilitate a variety of fun activities like indoor and outdoor games and sports, swimming, arts and crafts, team building exercises and more. Register for all of the days offered or just the days you need child care. This program is available for school age children (5-12 years of age).

This program is available for children 5 to 12 years of age who need care during Winter/Spring Break. Children may attend from 6:30am until 5:30pm.

All participants will need to bring a sack lunch (including drink), swimsuit, towel, and jacket each day of camp. A schedule of camp activities will be available on the first day of camp.

Summer Day Camp
With the YMCA Summer Day Camp, your children will get a real sense of what summertime is all about. YMCA Day Campers pack more into a summer than they ever thought they could. A series of 10 one-week sessions are offered at nine locations all summer long. Girls and boys, ages 4 to 12, are given the opportunity to meet new friends while experiencing the fun and excitement summertime brings.

Come out and have a blast at our next sports specific skill camp! Led by the YMCA’s sports training staff, our camps promise to be filled with daily fundamental skill work, camp contests, games, character, faith and fun, fun, fun.
From day one of camp, our program is designed to assist your child with the advancement of their skill level while enhancing their level of play in a fun and structured environment. All of our participants are divided up and placed on teams based on age groups and participation numbers. Team size is limited to ensure each participant receives plenty of participation time. Instructors will focus on ensuring skill progression while providing a fun-filled learning experience.

The YMCA Camp staff is a carefully selected and trained group of young men and women. Some are returning from last summer; some are new to our YMCA. All staff have been chosen for their experience, special talents, sensitivity, and creativity. Criminal history background checks have been conducted and filed on all employees. All staff receive training in camp programs, age appropriate activities, discipline, and emergency procedures. Our staff is also certified in CPR and First Aid.
