We recently held our annual Play a Round for the Y Golf Scramble at Cambridge Golf Club, an event that raises money for our YMCA Community Outreach programs that serve over 1,500 youth through 39 programs in 29 schools each year. This year, 25 teams played a round and had good fun for a great cause!
Each year the golf committee, in step with the Master’s Tournament, honors a true Champion of the Y. Previous recipients include Pete Mogavero and Dave Abbott. This year’s recipient is a long standing member of the Metro Board of Directors and serves on the Executive Committee. For over a decade, he has selflessly given his time, treasure and especially his talent to lift up and protect the mission of the YMCA. He has been instrumental in drafting legal documents associated with building multiple new facilities, most recently the Toyota YMCA in Princeton IN. He always has the YMCA’s best interest in mind, providing expert advice, arbitration when needed, preparation of documents, and most importantly providing necessary legal information for the board of directors to make decisions critical to the vitality of the YMCA.
In honor of all the countless hours, dedication, and advocacy he has provided to our YMCA, please join us in recognizing Marco DeLucio as the 2023 Champion of the Y.
